We are looking for International Jury members to our own project, the KDP!
What is KDP?
KDP is „Kedvenc Dal Projekt”, which means „Favourite Song Project”. This is a fun-fan competition of all the songs performed ever on Eurovision stage. Its system is like a league: there are groups, finalists – and elimination in each year. And of course, a winner, like last year: it was Molitva.
The basic idea of this competition was to bring all the Eurovision songs closer to the Hungarian fans, giving a wider knowledge of them and an oppurtunity to rediscover the beloved songs they’ve already forgotten. Last year, it took continously 27 weeks – as we started from the basement and asked our people to listen and rate 1396 songs…
This year we want to run this voting game again, but well, in a much shorter version! (It’s gonna be 3×2 weeks, but the members of the Internatinal Jury would spend much less time about it.)
How does it work?
We already have 48 songs from last year, the TOP48 (the list is at the bottom of this page), we want to fill them up to 60 in the nomination phase.
These 60 songs will be put into 6 group of ten songs in the semi final phase. People will vote in each group, picking their two favourite. The winners and runner-ups will qualify to the Final, the TOP12; but the bottom 2 of each group will be eliminated – they’ll have to win a spot to return in next year’s nomination phase. In the Final, the voters will rank all the songs and finally, we’ll have a winner.
Who can vote?
Well, this is a project for the Hungarian fans. Mainly it’s for them, so everything’s gonna be published in Hungarian. But…
We’re looking for az International Jury! A group of board members around the OGAE clubs and OGAE International. This is not gonna be easy, because we ask you to name your 12 favourite Eurovision song ever! Additionally, 12 which are not in the list on the bottom of the page, our TOP48! (This time, you can vote on your own country!)
The International Jury members’ votes in the nomination phase will be counted as one member of OGAE Hungary, but the Jury’s TOP2 songs will have a granted place in the TOP60.
(There are Hungarian fans who vote in this game, but not member of OGAE Hungary. Because of this, our members’ votes counts three times.)
The other task of the International Jury will be in December, to telling the opinions of the finalist 12 songs to the Hungarian fans.
I like this competition. Can I vote in the semi too?
Well, if you’re a member of our International Jury, you can vote in the second phase as a regular voter. If you would like to start this project in your own club, we’d happily tell more about it or help you increase the excitement. We only ask you to mention that the idea is from us. 🙂
I still have question(s)…
Please send it to elnok@magyarescfanklub.hu
OK, now everything is clear, how can I nominate as an International Jury member?
Send your favourite 12 songs which are not in the list below to elnok@magyarescfanklub.hu until 31st of July 2016.
We’d like to increase the diversity of the Project, so there’re some limits: please keep in mind, that there can be max. 6 songs from the same year in the TOP60. The exceptions are the years which already have 6 or more songs in last year’s TOP48 – only one song can qualify to the semi from these years: 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015.
